Trinity Parking Lot - Hit and Run?
A boy was taken by ambulance last night to St. Charles. He had been impaled by the handle bars and brake lever on his bike. The bike was removed from the scene with the victim. He had been hit by an unidentified vehicle in the parking lot of Trinity Lutheran School. The boy was riding his bike at approximately 20:00 and was struck by the vehicle. The vehicle was not on the scene when officers reported to the scene. The boy was found by the janitor Ken Brisk as he was investigating the sounds of skidding car tires. Ken Brisk reported seeing a pick up truck or SUV leaving the driveway as he went toward the parking lot. Neighbors report hearing cars driving quickly through the baseball field toward the back of the school for several nights of the last week. The boy has been treated and is in stable condition.
